About Andrea Belluso

Andrea Belluso is an artist, photographer and storyteller whose work explores the transformative power of light

Over the course of his international career, Andrea has collaborated with Vogue Italia, Elle, Robb Report, Bentley, Ferrari, McLaren, Guy Laroche and many more iconic brands — yet his focus has always remained on something deeper than image: the emotion behind it.

His exhibitions across the world reflect a fascination with perception and transformation. The Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art was the first to recognise his commercial photography as contemporary art when shown outside its original context — affirming Andrea’s belief that art is not defined by what it represents, but by how it is seen.

After decades of success in fashion and beauty, Andrea’s commissions from Cadillac and Nestlé led him into the worlds of automotive and food photography. These experiences reinforced his conviction that creativity dies when confined to a “style.” For him, the absence of a fixed style is what keeps expression alive.

Known globally as “The Light Shaper” — a name given to him by Profoto — Andrea is celebrated as one of the world’s leading experts in lighting. But for him, light is more than technique: it’s a metaphor for awareness, truth, and the inner illumination that shapes every act of creation.

Beyond his artistic work, Andrea lectures internationally, from the New York Film Academy to the University of Johannesburg, guiding others toward authentic creativity — where art and self-expression become one and the same.
